All month long- The Barnard House plans their Heirloom Gardens- share in conversation and view the planting guide that Cathy creates. LETS TALK Eatables! Many flats of heirloom vegetables, herbs and flowers are grown for the gardens and the enjoyment of flavor, texture and garnish. We bring the gardens to our guest in bouquets in room and breakfast each morning.

Limited intimate seating-
An intimate gathering along the river in our 1893 Victorian Farmette. Three rooms are beautifully decorated in nostalgic decor and antiques. You are surrounded by vintage linens and china and served elegantly on table by expert servers. Tiers of appetizers are presented on each table along with 2 pots of hot spring herbed teas. Our servers will present the coarses to each table while Chef Ras meanders to discuss his locally sourced creations. You are serenaded by soft acoustical guitar while the tea fills your soul with memories.Hand crafted place cards and menu cards will guide each guest in the days splendor. Our on site photographer will capture these memories in canded photos. Beautiful garden spaces will be shared with weather permitting. Lovely hand poured organic soaps are gifted to each guest in creative favors.Music will carry on to the Trail Garden Patio after the tea portion of the day.
Chef Don Ras creates a full coarse sumptious locally sourced luncheon, beautifully plated and served in splendor.

Petite Confit Chicken Salad Croissant ~ light and flakey crossiant with tender confit chicken breast, crisp celery, dried cranberries dressed in a fresh herb aioli.
Sweet Soy Veggie Bao Buns ~ steamed beo buns folded over julienned vegetables draped in a ginger infused sweet soy reduction and fresh cilantro garnish.
Locally Harvested Deviled Eggs ~ Farm fresh halved egg whites piped full of Tarragon egg yolk mousse and adorned with mustard seed caviar.

Charred Spring Vegetable Smoked Salmon Salad ~ Alaskian Salmon presented over charbroiled seasonal vegetables tossed with vibrant greens in a bold citrus vinagrette.
DESERT:
Dark Choclate Cannoli Cone ~ Sugar Waffle cone hand dipped in rich dark choclate and rolled in Pistachios, filled with decadent mascarpone cannoli cream.

Our Garden- Tour/Talk/ Taste- Saturday 25th @ 1:00- the Barnard House grounds are filled with unusual plantings of heirlooms and old fashion vegetables, flowers and herbs. This special event will showcase our incredible use of our gardens in a luncheon on the Trail Garden Patio. A discussion of how we select, grow and cultivate our gardens to share our knowledge with good foods we grow.

Our gardens are filled with fantastic flowers, herbs, vegetables to share with our guest. Its harvest season so Pumpkins fill the porches and Sunflower loom along the porch. Pollinators and Song Birds fill our gardens.

COLORS of the Valley! Come enjoy the fall colors along the river! This is North West Pennsylvania's best time of the year.
