Over the past few months our family rose to the occasion and labored long hard hours. Our historic homes were repaired, painted and marketed.Decisions were cast to create the smoothest transition into another lifestyle. Our adult children helped us along the way as strength and talents were needed to meet the many hurdles placed before us. All this was performed while we conducted business as usual and met the needs of our kind guest. We do everything within our family. You'll find no subcontractors here! Its exhausting but it reminds us how we have come to this fork in the road. 

   We have been successful in that 2 of our 3 homes have sold. Now comes the task of selling the last remaining home, The Barnard House. The historic town of Emlenton has been a chapter in our lives for 11 years. We came as a family to heal our souls after trauma. Working hard and creating a new life and business gave us many gifts. Marketing a home for sale in a rural Pa. area has its challenges. We chose a suburban realtor, Compass- Christine Wilson's Team. Her team approach was right up our families alley. A hot shot photographer captured incredible photos to showcase all 3 historic homes. Our lives had to adjust to showings while keeping up the level of quality we would expect if we were the guest. If you have stayed with us in the past you are aware that we strive to meet the personal needs of each person that stays in our bed and breakfast. 

    Going forward.....this process may take a few months so we ask for your continued support. YES- we are staying OPEN- COME STAY- be our guest, spend time along the river and trails.Enjoy the many amenities that a true bed and breakfast provide. Your stay will be unique and memorable.     Hopefully we can find the perfect family or person to own the Barnard House. She's been a home of lodging for over 35 years but she can support a number of other persons dreams with a Summer Kitchen and restroom in the Garden Shed. Dreams can become reality, we have proven that. 

    As a token of our sincere appreciation we are offering a FINDERS FEE!!! If you bring a buyer to closing we are offering $1000. CASH!!!!

    Our doors are OPEN year round. We have winter rates until May 1st. This time of the year the business slows and this provides our guest a quieter home.
