Safe Haven along the Allegheny
Indeed 2020 was a long year that brought us a prospective of our families and the world that we hope not soon forget. The year has turned a page but there is still a need to follow safety and protect those we love. Our family has learned a great deal over the past year. We were thrust together in our small rural town. We shared our small celebrations and dealt with lifes disappointments but with the knowledge we were so damn fortunate. We had our health and the protective love for one another. So many people would endure life with much less. Over the months that followed we created things, ate fabulous meals, took amazing hikes and shared tears and laughter. The world would move on without us and that was okay- because we had each other.
As Innkeeper's we evolved- learning to adapt. Time was long in preparing ourselves and our home to meet the needs of our guest. To create safe havens for folks traveling to loved ones, quarantined and in need of rest to continue the journey. Weary souls we met, stories of life, love and loss were shared. We developed a keen prospective in lifes evolution as time passed around us and people evolved. Careers were left, trips were cancelled - educations halted - time went on! Witnessing the private moments of people adapting and learning to find themselves in a crazy mixed up world was inspiring. We marveled at the simple thing's and changed aspects of our daily lives to focused on all of the wonders that surround us!
Our guest become our friend's as we go through life and meet up again, older and wiser. Babies are born, children grow, loved ones pass, life continues and we fade in and out of one another's lives with a reminder that life is good!
